Several of WJCU’s best known on-air personalities and staff enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon in Cleveland’s historic Collinwood neighborhood Saturday, July 28th at the ArtsCollinwood Waterloo Arts Fest (www.artscollinwood.org). WJCU has been a part of this unique street festival for several years and we were happy to be back in 2007!
Local vendors, organizations, artists and small businesses lined Waterloo Road and up East 156th Street in Collinwood all day. Inside the Beachland Ballroom (www.beachlandballroom.com) there was a Rock n’ Roll Flea Market along with other interesting events, good for the whole family!
WJCU’s own Greg Priddy and Uncle Fred were our roving reporters at the fest this year. Greg Priddy is co-host of “Lithuanian Voice” heard only on 88.7FM from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Sunday mornings. Unlce Fred is co-host of “Visiting the Folks” airing from 9 p.m. to midnight on Sunday evenings. All of WJCU’s shows can be heard streaming live on www.wjcu.org. Our 88.7FM team provided updates and interviews all afternoon on 88.7FM bringing you another great way to enjoy the festival.
Back at the 88.7FM stand WJCU’s John “The Rocket” Roddy was handing out free CD’s, WJCU gear, information and free water! The Rocket’s “The Vindictive Alarm Clock” show can be heard Saturday mornings from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
We here at 88.7FM are proud to help out with the ArtsCollinwood organization and look forward to next year’s Waterloo Arts Fest.
