Gene, host of The Rock (Saturday mornings, midnight – 2 a.m.) spoke with the band about all things Battlestar. Check the links to listen to Battlestar’s acoustic versions of “Devastated” and “Chained”, and interview excerpts! Formed in 2010, Battlestar was the brainchild of Eric Hess (vocals) and Jason French (guitars, drums), who also have played together in AUDIBLETHREAD. Hess and French collaborated on Battlestar’s first recording, the five-song EP BSODDV 1.0, released for free on the internet on April 1. The band lineup currently includes Hess, William Depawl (guitars/synth), Dave Reigelman (guitar), Jason Carlson (bass), and Donovan Grimes (drums). Listen to the interview as Hess recalls the band’s beginnings with French, and talks about some of the band’s songs.
