The Outspoken Cyclist – 2/12/2011

The weather here in Northeast Ohio is starting to toy with our cravings to be outside on a bicycle, and this week we bring you a heaping plate of food for thought as you plan the warm weather season ahead.

If you’re thinking of touring in the U.S. or abroad and you’re looking for good food, cultural immersion, and soft beds to accompany your cycling, look no further than Classic Adventures. Benton Hart is here to tell us all about his 32-year old family-owned cycle touring company.

Classic Adventures is for adults, but Camp Woodward is all about kids who are into skateboarding, BMX, gymnastics, cheerleading, and even digital photography and video production.  Woodward Operations Manager Steve Hass gives us the 411 on a summer camp experience for the 21st century.

And don’t forget that WJCU Radiothon 2011 runs from February 13th through 20th. That means you can make a pledge right here at wjcu.org, or call 216-397-4438. WJCU is non-commercial, all-volunteer, community radio, and we count on your support to keep WJCU on the air, on the web, and delivering your favorite podcasts each week.
