WJCU was named one of the “best reasons to turn on the radio” in Scene Magazine‘s Best of Cleveland 2009 awards alongside fellow college stations WCSB and WRUW.

In addition to our station’s honor, WJCU’s dedicated Mitch Kapka, host of Kick out the Jams (Saturdays 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. EST) was noted in the “best tour guide to the ultimate riff” category for his show here on 88.7FM. Kick out the Jams is a fan favorite at WJCU and plays rock music from all corners of the world, and right down the street. Congratulations Mitch!
