Kick Out the Jams’ Mitch Capka says Farewell

Many long-time listeners to Kick Out the Jams – a Saturday anchor of WJCU programming for decades – were saddened and disappointed to learn that host Mitch Capka decided to pull the plug at the conclusion of the show’s summer 2010 schedule run. While both  staff and management here at WJCU were  also taken aback when Mitch  made known his decision to lay down the microphone, we all respected his wishes and continue to wish him the very best  as he moves on with his “quest for the ultimate Jam.” We will miss him.

Of course WJCU has to move on as well, so we’ve retooled our Saturday schedule, going forward in a new direction that reflects the fact that what Mitch did so very well for so long at WJCU was truly unique and irreplaceable.

For all those of you that have contacted WJCU with questions regarding Mitch’s departure, his brief farewell during his final show is available below in its entirety.
