With a salt shortage this winter University Heights Vice-Mayor Adele H. Zucker explains the cities new policy of “Sensible Salting” for the city streets. What this means is all streets will be plowed and cleared but mostly main thouroghfares will be salted.
Salt has been purchased from ODoT but at $75 a ton the price has risen conciderably this year.
