Uncle Fred and Jill recently saw the adaptation of Crime and Punishment. The adaptation strips the classic novel down to its core and is compressed to 90 minutes with no intermission. The mood is bleak and somber, the music is something out of Hitchcock. Whether you’ve read the novel or not it’s a fascinating look at the complexities of good and evil.
