Celebrities hit the airwaves on WJCU

88.7FM hosted several big names in our University Heights studios this week as singer Sarah Borges and author Mary Morrissy stopped in. Speaking with WJCU’s Chris Hooton, lead singer of “Sarah Borges and The Broken Singles” talked about the band currently on tour promoting their latest album “The Day We Met”.

Nominated for three 2007 Boston Music Awards, you can see videos, hear more music, and get a look at Sarah Borges and The Broken Singles” remaining tour schedule here.

The award-winning author of three books, Mary Morrissy currently holds the Hopkins Chair in British Literature here at John Carroll University. Morrissy has an impressive resumé having worked as a journalist for two of Ireland’s national newspapers, a professor in both Ireland and the US, and as a research fellow with the New York Public Library.
